HOLIDAY

Sch's like my 2nd home. reached at 730am, left at 1030pm.

i'm already waitng to have a good rest for CNY,
but, classes are classes, they have to make up for all these holidays!
THAT EXPLAINS MY DISASTROUS DAY!
make up at 7-10pm. Bored Max!

Watched Running.Man and totally amazed about the fact of Antarctica.

Because Antarctica dont belong to any country!

omg. how cool is that luh? i mean. ok. i know it only like.....yesterday? LOLLL.

feel like flying somewhere to have a good break before the major exams.
but i doubt i can ever do that now!
it's too last minute! -plus, nothing's prepared!

Yes, there's summer aboard school to various location provided by UOL...
but then again, my grades are like........... so SUCKS.
Its doesnt really matters, just that....
there are lots more to consider since it's a 1-3 months thingy overseas;
how much we gonna spend. lodging etc.!

so many things to think about it!
i'll just work harder and possibly do it by year 3. :D

travelling might be one of the things that i really enjoyed the most
though we are super tired everyday, but it's all happy days!
everyday is filled with itinerary and visiting place that you've never been before!
EXCITING ISNT IT?!

that's why, i guess.. this is something that everyone will enjoy it as much as I do. :D
lets all work harder and achieve everything we want!! GOGOGO~~

366 DAYS AHEAD

Welcome to 2012, and plan for my 1st half of the year is basically done!

Firstly, CNY and my OHNOIT'S22nd birthday is coming!!
alright, CNY is still alright because it's usually the times when we spent time with our love ones and those we couldnt meet for the whole year!
It's the few days where all of us gathered together,chat,gamble and EAT! ^_^

22nd, isnt anything impt to me now.

Was on Twitter and saw '#2011was' trending.

It suddenly makes me think about what did i went through for the whole of this year..

Basically, the first thing that came to my mind was failing my UOL exams even after working quite hard for it!

It was quite bad because i always believed that as long as ppl work hard for something, they will eventually get what they wanted.

BUT, I've kinda learnt a lesson; a real hard one!

I was thinking about the next sad thing that happened to me.........

But i couldnt think of any!!

YAY! I'm quite a happy girl alr! I shouldnt really complain right?!

1. I have my family members♥ ard me, and my grandma is still living healthily w us!

3. Most importantly, I have Ong♥, who have been everywhere for me to rely on!

What have i had to complain on more?!?! RIGHT?!?

WELL, I hope 2011 ends well, and hopefully, a good start for 2012 as well.

anw, i just got myself a NEW Asus!

it's working faster and better than my 5 year old Acer (since it's new)!

ahem, (think) i can blog more since it's not as lag as before and i can multi task alot of stuffs at once! woohoo!

School alr started and it's starting to get abit more hectic than the previous year...

well, nothing gets easier isnt it? awww.

and currently, the worst thing that's gonna happen to me is......

MY BKK TRIP MIGHT BE CANCELLED!

could hardly find a time slot and thought that bkk trip will be a good time to let loose, and come back to work even harder for what we wanted..!!

BUT NOWWWWW. omggggg. it's gonna get postpone/cancelled cos of the floods!

Diseases are everywhere la! i mean, i'm kinda afraid too la! so... if only thai airways could let us change a location to travel (but i doubt so la, super low chances, since those who are going this month only get to push back their vacation till feb! )

LIFE's A Cross Junction.

Life's a cross junction ; too much split roads; too much choices.

my life is getting abit tired up to this point.

it must be the most major setback that i've encounter in my 21 years of age.

im fighting for the last round now

and cant get more emotional than this, because all my energy are almost used up.

the ability to choose; when did it become such a burden?

we begged for freedom since young, trying to have our own say, our own stand.

and yet, here i am now complaining about the choices we have in life.

life now is like so hard that one wrong step and you're done for.

well, maybe not the case, but most probably along that line.

when we've too much of a choice, life becomes more complex.

we'll be trying to find which is the best route.

and what if it didnt work out like the road you've expected it to be?

you must be thinking- make a U-Turn

how many times? 3 point turn? 4 point turn or even 5 point turn?

-it just take up too much of a time.

by the time you make a U turn, you'll reach another junction again,

and choosing another route.

isnt this abit tiring?

cos of the chioces we have and tons of things we've to work out just to live life in peace.

that's why, to some point in time,

i feel like telling life to give me a one way road,

where i just have to follow it and reach my destination.

but yes, i'm contradicting.

if life's a one way road, wouldnt it be to tough for those we really cant continue on

and we might just have tons of regrets since there's no turning back.

that explains the contradiction.

yup. the title explains everything.

while everyone is concern about the country's General Elections,

i'm here fighting for my UOL papers- 3down, 2 to go.

would really love to pay more attention and attend rallies,

and understand more about what the parties could offer to the change in our current life.

but the papers are really taking up all my time,

which also explains the absence of blog entries here. =X

well, other than preparing for the exams day and night,

i do read up and look for videos abt different parties manifestos... :))

it's really sad that i cant get really involve here due to the clash with my exams.

(and the fact that i dont need to vote as well! :D )

seriously, being a candidate isnt easy.

first, you need them to believe in you and vote for you.

second, what u've promised in the rallies, is better to be done or else................

it's really not an easy task.

increasing GST problems, increasing housing prices, congestion etc etc.......

awww. so much to handle.

anw, i believe different ppl have different opinions on how they wanna vote,

and of which criteria they are looking at.

so its not really abt criticizing with those who couldn't agree with your point,

sometimes, it just makes me wonder how long will we take to see a person true colors.

I believe that everyone have diff mask to put on when we're on diff circumstances,

It's always great to see friends around helping and be there for you.

But one thing i hate about this is when i'm beaten off by my self confidence

and judging my own ability to complete the task.

I'm really grateful for all of them, though i've really little time for them, yet when i turn back, they are always there.

The Process; Young to Old.

was thinking about this for a bit when i saw this status on facebook:

"failin my exam is my fault meh?? Tis is just a common test wad... Nid so angry for... Fml sia... Tuition very ex den don let me hav tuition lo... Must call uncle scold me?? Dog sia... Might as well let me quit sch"

well, i was thinking wasnt i doing the same thing when i was 14?

- just maybe without the word 'dog'.

as i grow older, and i look at the younger ones, and i realized that everything is like a cycle; something repetitive of what we have been through in the past.

it's just how we eventually changed as we mature.

remembering those times when our older ones told us:

"hey, this is bad, dont do this, study hard" etc etc.

but we, ourselves turned on deaf ears. -didnt we?

that's when something comes in.......

Regrets.

there's certainly something that we've done/not done that we felt regretful of.

but how do we convey the message of regrets to the younger generation?

it's just like when we're young, and we dont heed advice from the older ones, and then felt regretful about it when we started to think back.

-and we're DEFINITELY filled with lots of REGRETS up to this point in life.

well, that's why life is scary.

cause it's just another cycle.

and a 2 way road- right way or wrong way.

IMAGINE this;

my life for the next 2 months,

MORNING - wake up, bath, eat, sit down study.

NOON- eat, sit down study.

NIGHT - bath, eat, sit down study.

omg. i didnt even have anytime to move at all! i felts that my butt is glued to my chair like a forever!

why am i blogging abt this?

OK. JUST BECAUSE i felt a sudden NUMB in my butt just now after "gluing" it to the chair for 5hrs? LOL. didnt even go toilet!

ok forget abt the numbness! BUT SOMETHING I REALLY MIND IS.................................

my weight, my size and if my clothes still fits! LOL. that's really something a girl would always keep track of isnt it?!?!

2month later i become like this.

ok. maybe not so exaggerating, but........ YOU GET MY POINT RIGHT?!?!

not trying to criticizing them, but just in the sense that, if one day i become like this,
my self esteem would really drop to idk where! (but of course, there are still some ppl who doesnt care abt being fat, which i think it's all personal)
cause i think i'm that kind of person who worrys abt what other thinks abt me, WHEN it comes to image.
some more, now, i'm alr a person with super low self esteem, and if the above happens, i think i'll really drop to nil..

to me, slimming down is not just about being healthy (PARTLY YES, TO BEING HEALTHY, BUT NOT MY MAIN FOCUS), BUT IT'S ABT BEING PRETTY and wear gorgeous clothes and it totally(believe me), it totally builds up your confidence level AND self esteem.

and YES, I WAS VERY VERY FAT IN THE PAST. (evidence here!)

Apologizing online - When small matter becomes BIG matter.

this issue had been on my mind since 3852852 years ago, but i havent been able to blog it out since i'm lazy to even explain things to those i cant be bothered with.

but now, it's really getting on my nerves!

i dont know how ppl think about this issue, but i felt that, it's a way to gain sympathy and make the whole situation as if it was the other person at fault. It also gives an impression like it's the person being unreasonable, and you're the person who give in and accommodate by apologizing.

DO WE HAVE TO DO THAT ONLINE? - that's my main issue.

and like the title suggest, u'll get more angry when it comes to this:
there's nothing wrong between both of u, none angry, and both were still on the phone awhile ago and suddenly this post went up "i'm really sorry, i wouldnt do it again"

-u must be at there thinking? wads with the sorry and sincere apologising when NOTHING even happen? --- totally attracting attention. BTH.

whenever i'm in this kind of circumstances, i cant be bothered to even explain to the ppl who asked my what happened and explain all the reasons behind it. -- mainly becos there was none. NO reasons behind that act (or maybe yes, to seek attention).

i just felt that ALL THESE are kind of UNCALLED FOR.

sometimes, even if it's a joke between the 2 of us, and he ended up apologizing all over the web, makes me feel like i'm an ass (even when nothing happens). -- like u'll just feel that way and all of a sudden, u're also thinking that u're the bad guy.

For my character, i'm not that kind that would be even be angry over v. lil things ; and i'd joke abt everything and sometimes my words just makes me sound angry, but i'm not.

i'm really not.

whatever it is, this is one thing that i REALLY HATED.
TOTALLY CANT STAND THIS. -AT ALL

quit being a whine,

but when it comes to education regarding ur future, it's just abit...........hard.

yes, there are many ppl moving on to uni from poly, which is still possible, but just that they needed like work harder than those of us having fun at that moment.

or maybe the problem didnt even lies in where i came from

it's just becos i've moved to something that's totally unrelated from what i've been doing in poly for 3 years.- from an engineer to a banker.

i totally have no basics. really none at all.

not even A maths from secondary sch.

so that's the problem if i backtrack.

and the solution lies within me, for that nonchalant attitude of mine.

oh damn it! it's totally pissing everyone off i guess?! Or are we too dependent on IPhone for EVERYTHING?

sigh. from secondary sch, i started to use my phone alarm as my alarm clock everyday and i've nv touch or buy those old sch clock for any alarm purpose anymore!
and now..................! There's a glitch in Iphone alarm!

For those who dunno, here's the news on the glitch!

Basically, it's just setting your alarm as usual, but it just wont ring up on the time set.

And because of this, causes lots of inconvenience for everyone!

Some even missed their flights because of this lor!!!

Terrible right?! We're just too dependent on our gadgets nowadays. that's bad!~

UPDATES: How to solve IPhone alarm glitch!

OK! HERE IT IS! managed to found a way to solve the glitch problem. :D

1st: Go to your alarm clock, click on edit for the alarm u wanted to set.

2nd: Set the time you want it to ring, and then sees the "repeat" on the first line of the alarm, tap on that.

3rd: Tap on the day u wanted the alarm to ring on. let's say for today, then it's Every Sunday

4th: Click back, on the alarm!!

AND TA-DAH~~~~ IT RINGS LIKE USUAL! ISNT IT?! :D

I've done testing for the snoozing part, and it works too (^^) HOHOHO~

so no worries now! :D

It's Tang Yuan day!!! (or wadever they called it, dong zhi day?)

Was totally having insomia yesterday.. most probably due to the mocha frep i had at wisma starbucks with the girls. Totally couldnt sleep though i was like quite tired and woke up at OMGZ time this morning, 7am -.- then off to make some tang yuans and went of to the temple.

Dear Students,

Yesterday’s arrangements for time-zoning have worked well, and with the cooperation of everyone in RP we have been able to segregate students to a large extent. This is a good first step. (everyone was cursing when first step is implemented, now? the second step. i guess i'll see RP will be on fire soon!)

To continue with the segregation and make it more effective as a precaution against the spread of the A-H1N1 virus, RP management has decided to implement a second step in the segregation.

With effect from today and until further notice, all students will be required to use only the Foodcourt that is assigned according to the Pod that they are in for that day. Students are to stay out of the other Foodcourts. The assignment of Foodcourts according to the Pods is as follows: _!_

Students studying in block	Foodcourt Assigned
E6, W3, W6	North Foodcourt
E3, E4, E5, W4, W5	Lawn Foodcourt
E2, W1, W2	South Foodcourt

(the above is the RIDICULOUS FOODCOURT ASSIGNING TIMETABLE! dont even have the right to choose what we wanna eat. that explains RP)

As a reminder, the time-zoning arrangements already implemented will continue. The timeout windows are as follows:

Group A Modules:

Timeout Window 1: 9.45 am to 10:05 am (20 MINUTES? i shud have ask them to eat for me to see! i think that swallow whatever is put inside thier BIG MOUTH!)

(ya... i agree it minimize, but only A BIT!..zzz) RP will continue to monitor the situation, and will ensure that such precautionary measures will remain in effect only for as long as deemed necessary.

RP’s management is aware that such measures will cause inconvenience in various ways. However, we all have a responsibility for our own health as well as the health of others. RIDICULOUS MAIL NO.1

Dear Students (bcc to All Students),

What a tumultuous week we have had since the A-H1N1 flu virus arrived in our campus. While the majority of you have remained calm and focused on your education, and RP thank you for that, we have, on the other hand, been besieged by the media and several calls to close down RP completely. We have been criticised on on-line forums, petitioned by some students and vilified in blogs, some accusing us that we have not acted in your best interest.

Believe me, I, too share your strong concerns over health issues brought about by this nasty virus. (really concern about health? or only money?)

First, allow me to reiterate my personal assurance to you that the health and wellbeing of everyone at RP is given serious attention to. With this message I hope to give you a better understanding about what we are doing to minimise and contain the impact of this flu virus on our campus and make it a safe place for everyone – students and staff.

RP is working very closely with both the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Ministry of Education (MOE) and we are guided by their advices on how to contain the spread of the virus. To date, RP has taken the following measures:

All students or staff who were in direct or suspected to have come into contact with confirmed A-H1N1 cases have been given Leave of Absence (LOA) and instructed to learn or work from home. Following the MOH and MOE guidelines, we made this decision to contain the virus from spreading among students and staff. The over 4,500 students and staff who were given LOA will be returning to campus this Thursday, July 2. The infected students and staff, who are currently on medical leave, will only return when they have been medically cleared of the virus. (does it make a difference if the students who are infected but show no symptoms are in school and spreading the virus, and those who came back from LOA will be once be in risk again. zzz)

You would be interested to know that most of the students who recently came down with the A-H1N1 flu did not catch the virus in RP but from external sources. (which is not true...zz. why so sway? all RP kia got this damn flu only?! lame.)

We recently learned that one of the first students to be confirmed with the A-H1N1 virus has recovered, and has subsequently tested negative for the virus. We are hopeful that this will be case for all our other students who have contracted the virus.

When RP first learned about the infections, we immediately directed our Estates department to clean and disinfect the affected areas (classrooms, corridors, toilets and other public areas). We are still maintaining our cleaning regiment daily. Having learned from the MOH that the A-H1N1 virus cannot survive beyond eight hours, we locked up those classrooms, and by this time, those germs would have long perished. This way, RP is trying to keep the virus out of the campus as contamination is through person to person contact of less than two metres' distance.

We are also taking the following actions:

distributing free face masks to any student at RP who needs it
we ask everyone to take their temperatures and declare them online
anyone who feels unwell are asked to go to the doctor or to a nearby Pandemic Preparedness Clinic and have themselves checked
everyone has to declare their travel itinerary and most official business travel has been postponed till further notice
anyone who has travelled to the high-risk countries as identified by MOH will be asked to stay at home for seven days and monitor their health. If there are signs of flu-like symptoms, they are told to go and see the doctor at once.
set up a crisis centre at RP, which is operational 24 hours a day.
set up a special intranet website where all the latest updates on the flu can be easily accessed by all students (www.rp.sg/flu).

Now, I like to take a minute or two to share with you about the realities of the A-H1N1 virus.

· First, as the Health authorities tell us, the A-H1N1 virus, like other flu viruses or the common cold, is here to stay and will be part of our lives, going forward. You may catch it in buses, MRT trains, shopping centres, food courts, cinemas, even at home.

· Second, calls to completely close down RP is not the answer as it begs the question “how long should we close down?” No one knows when this whole pandemic is going to tail off. The questions we have to ask next are: Does that mean everyone has to stay home and not go out? And, will closing down RP for a week or two ensure that our students and staff stay at home and not go out and get infected by others elsewhere? One could easily catch this flu should an infected person, be it a family member, friend or stranger comes into contact. So where do we go from here?

· Collectively, we have to remain calm and not panic. Some of us may catch the infection at some time or other. If we catch the flu, or any other illness, we will just have to go and get it treated. Unless we are all able to cocoon ourselves in a germ-free environment, which is unrealistic, we have to take it in our stride and manage the situation as life has to go on. I am sure you have noted that businesses and offices in Singapore have not closed; people still shop, eat, travel, work and play. It is very much business as usual elsewhere, and it is the same for RP.

I understand your fears and appreciate your concerns. But we should recognise that this flu bug will be around for a while and which will bother us from time to time and becoming classified as “seasonal flu”.

For those with health issues and cannot afford to catch this virus, the RP Management is sympathetic and understands your needs. Please approach your School Management to work out a solution as we have already made provisions for students with sensitive health issues.

You have my assurance that RP management is doing all we can, within reasonable limits, to keep RP a safe environment for you. We are on the lookout for anyone who looks unwell, and they will be referred to a nearby Pandemic Preparedness Clinic, when indicated. We have dedicated staff working round the clock and we are constantly re-evaluating our options with MOE to ensure that everyone on campus does not face undue risk.

in the past, i often think that how come friends or whosoever in my life couldnt understand what situation i am in.
but now, i've gave a serious thought about it.
;because everyone thinks that their problem are the worst of all.
so why even bother about YOUR problem?
and that's why, they couldnt understand you, AT ALL!

i've thought about everything over a sleepless night.
if u can leave your brother at home,
and ASSUME that he can handle everything alone himself in the middle of the night,
then YOU ARE TOTALLY WRONG.

what can a 12yrold do when the house is caught up with a fire?
what can a 12yeold do when there's a power cut?
so we can still ASSUME that he wont be afraid alone in this 4 room flat?

well. then, that's YOU, not ME.
many can jolly well say i think too much.
but the fact is, i care MORE THAN anyone of you do.
TELL ME who? WHO CAN EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED?

it's so hard to put yourself in others' shoes?
from this point in time, i think i know how to handle situations like this in future.

seriously, i think i've always give in to ppl whom make a request.
but from now onwards, i'm going to think thrice.

different people have different types of burdens.
family, money,time, exam results, working environment etc etc......

i think work and time are apparently my main concern.
i have the time, but not the work.
and that leads me to other, which is saving up the money that i have now.
rather than borrowing money from others, why not just cut down on spending?
borrowing is also indirecct spending of your money. isnt it?

i think i can even stay at home everyday, JUST to make sure money is saved.
many may say i'm wasting time, and why not use the time to learn something you want?
learning? sponsors?
you need to spend in order to learn a course or a class.
it's small money.
but, doesnt mean, it's not important.
what will you prioritise FIRST, if your bank left 200bucks.
movies?dance? or save up for emergency uses?
it's worst when you think of transportation fees and food.
just 3 days, $10 buck of your fares are gone.
so how long can you survive with your $200 without having a stable job.

Time, currently i'm at home rotting like mad.
but i dont care, as long as i save the money.
and save the time for working opportunities.
how can i predict what job i'm going to work?
a 9am to 5pm? or a shift work, like 7am to 4pm, 2pm to 11pm?
well, that's not within my control.
so if i start learning things now, be it any timing,
MIGHT be a hindrance to me in getting a job.
simply because if the learning course time is 5 to 6pm
and i have job opportunities that requires shift working.
so, which am i going to give up? learning OR job?

since you paid for your class, you obviously doesnt want to waste the money and not go.
but dont forget about the big recession period,
where everyone could hardly get a job.
so how? what's YOUR priority?

without doubt, when you got a stable job
and the course/class time that you wanted to learn FALLS perfectly into your slot.
honestly,if this happens to me, i WOULD take up both.

but too bad,
nothing of this happens to me.
i, could only say, i'm not that fortunate to be like others.
